Cinema DOPs & Lighting Vans

MJ Films is building a UK network of experienced Directors of Photography with high-end cinema camera packages and gaffers with fully equipped lighting vans. We assemble specialist crews for scripted commercials, cinematic brand films, EPKs and high-end interviews.

We are currently seeking established, credited professionals in these two categories only. Please include your showreel, exact credits and a detailed equipment list.

CURRENT PRIORITY

High-end cinema camera and lighting specialists

Priority camera packages include ARRI ALEXA, Sony VENICE, Sony BURANO and suitable RED cinema systems, with professional lenses and production accessories. We are also interested in experienced gaffers operating fully stocked lighting and grip vans.

01 Director of Photography / Camera Owner-Operator Established cinematographers with proven commercial or broadcast experience and a complete professional cinema camera package. Own or directly supply an ARRI ALEXA, Sony VENICE, Sony BURANO or suitable RED package, with lenses and accessories Strong recent credits and a showreel with your contribution clearly identified Experienced in scripted brand films, adverts, EPKs and high-end interviews, including work with specialist crews Send your location, travel range, camera/lens inventory, reel and separate operator and kit rates 02 Gaffer / Lighting Van Owner Experienced lighting owner-operators who can arrive with a properly stocked van and support polished location lighting. Own professional lighting and grip van, with insured kit Suitable fixtures, diffusion, flags, stands and grip for interviews and commercial shoots Safe, efficient setup and established commercial, film or broadcast experience Send your base, insured van/kit inventory, travel range and separate crew and hire rates Before applying: applications are currently limited to experienced cinema camera owner-operators/DOPs with the specified high-end packages, and professional lighting van owners. We are not seeking trainees, work placements, freelance editors or general crew applications.

Where your work fits a prospective production, we may ask whether you would permit selected examples to be shown on MJ Films with your role clearly credited. Roster inclusion does not guarantee bookings; we will contact you when a suitable enquiry arises.
