MINI CASE STUDY 01
Oil depot induction video
This project required careful access planning, site clearance and a filming schedule that respected the depot’s operating procedures. Approximately three filming days were used to capture the routes, rules, equipment and demonstrations required by the approved script.
Working with site representatives helped the production identify where information was best explained by voice-over, where staff demonstrations added clarity and where graphics or titles were needed. The objective was a structured induction that viewers could follow before entering the relevant areas.
Production considerations: restricted access, operational timing, PPE, safe camera positions, clear speech and accurate review by the responsible team.

MINI CASE STUDY 02
Waste-recycling site induction video
The supplied clips come from project produced for a waste-recycling plant in Weston super-mare. The project required approximately three filming days to cover vehicle arrival, site movement, operational areas and the procedures drivers needed to understand.
Filming was planned around the working site rather than stopping normal activity unnecessarily. Wide views established routes and layout, while closer demonstrations and detail shots made the instructions easier to follow in the edit.

FILMING AROUND REAL WORK
Equipment and crew scaled to the site
A health and safety video shoot may require multiple cameras, tripods, lenses, lights, stands, microphones, monitors and cases. For a larger project this can be a full van load, so nearby parking or an agreed loading space is important.
Where access is restricted, a smaller DSLR or mirrorless kit can be carried in backpacks to keep the crew mobile and minimise disruption. The approach depends on the shot list, sound requirements, available space and the controls set by the client.
