Crew scaled to the production, not the other way round
A small job may only need one self-contained camera operator. A larger production can add B-camera, sound, lighting, drone and production support without turning the shoot into a needlessly large unit.
For agencies, broadcasters and production companies, crew can slot into an existing workflow and follow supplied camera specifications, shot lists, schedules and media-delivery requirements. For direct clients, MJ Films can also manage the production from planning through filming and post-production.

Add a qualified drone operator to the crew
For productions that need aerial coverage, MJ Films can add a qualified and insured drone operator for establishing shots, construction and property work, events, location footage and material designed to cut with the ground cameras.
Our aerial work is planned around the location, airspace, weather, permissions and what the finished edit actually needs. GVC and A2 CofC qualified operation is available, with source clips supplied to your editor or incorporated into the wider production.

Professional camera packages and technical matching
Our core camera package includes Sony FX6 and FX5 bodies with professional lenses, radio audio, monitoring, stabilisation and lighting options. For multi-camera work, recording settings and picture profiles can be agreed before the call so footage fits the wider production.
Where a job is built around another camera system, we can source appropriate operators and equipment through the crew network rather than forcing the production to use our house kit.
Rushes can be handed over as camera originals or organised to an agreed folder structure for your editor or post team.

Give us the date, location, working hours, production type and the roles you need covered.
2. Confirm the crew and kit
We match the operators, equipment and technical requirements to the job, including camera settings, audio, lighting, drone and media handover.
3. Lock the production day
Once the quote is approved, the agreed crew and equipment are reserved. Travel, specialist kit and extended hours are made clear before the shoot.
4. Film and hand over
The crew works to the brief and schedule, then footage is supplied to your post team or carried through post-production by MJ Films where required.

Can I book just one camera operator?
Yes. If the production only needs one experienced operator with a self-contained camera package, use our freelance camera operator service. The role can cover principal camera, B-camera, EPK, BTS, interviews, documentary-style filming, events and organised raw-footage handover.
Can you supply a complete film crew?
Yes. Crew can include additional camera operators, sound recordists, lighting, drone and production support. The exact team is based on the brief, schedule, location and technical requirements rather than a fixed package.
Can your crew match an existing camera system?
Yes. Tell us the camera bodies, codec, resolution, frame rate, picture profile, lenses and media workflow you are already using. We can then match the operator and equipment as closely as the production requires.
Do you provide filming-only crew for agencies and production companies?
Yes. You can book crew purely for capture and take the rushes back to your own editor or post-production team. Folder structure, card copies, proxies, syncing and other handover requirements can be agreed before the shoot.
