What information do you need before quoting for aerial filming?
The most useful details are the exact location, preferred dates and times, intended use, required shots, subject movement and delivery specification. Photographs, maps, site contacts and an editor’s shot list can also help.
Can you fly a drone anywhere in the UK?
No. Airspace, access, surrounding activity, restrictions, people, buildings and the nature of the operation all affect what is lawful and practical. Each location must be considered before the flight is confirmed.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable?
Wind, rain, visibility and light can make a planned shot unsafe or visually unsuitable. Where possible we agree flexibility, an alternative time or a weather-dependent decision point before travel.
Can you match aerial footage to another camera?
Often, yes. Agree the resolution, frame rate, colour profile and preferred settings before filming. The client or editor should supply any technical specification that the aerial files must follow.
Can you provide aerial photographs as well as video?
Yes. Still aerial photographs can often be captured during a suitable video flight when included in the brief. Tell us the required orientation, resolution and intended use before filming.
Can you edit the aerial footage into a complete film?
