EXHIBITION VIDEO PRODUCTION UK
Exhibition and Trade Show Filming
Turn one trade show into months of useful content
Professional exhibition filming for brands, exhibitors and marketing teams that want more from the day than a few phone clips. Capture the stand, staff, product demonstrations, customer conversations and the energy around the event, then shape that material into useful films for sales, websites, LinkedIn and future campaigns.
EXHIBITION FILMING
WHAT IS WORTH CAPTURING?
Make the most of the people, products and attention already in one place
Focused stand coverage normally needs more than a few rushed minutes. Around two hours gives time to understand the stand, settle interviews, wait for useful activity and capture enough variety for an edit that feels like the exhibition rather than a single appointment.
Film the stand before and during the busy periods
Start with clean establishing views, branding, product displays and important details, then return when the aisle is active so the finished film shows both the setup and real visitor engagement.
Record interviews while the right people are already there
Directors, sales staff, product specialists, partners, customers and vendors are often together for a limited window. Short interviews can explain the offer, provide testimonials and create standalone clips for later use.
Where useful, we can also supply a presenter or on-camera host to approach attendees and vendors with prepared questions. In our experience, this helps when the client team is already busy running the stand and gives the interviews a more consistent structure.
Capture demonstrations and product detail properly
If people are seeing a product or service in action, film the complete demonstration as well as close details, reactions and the questions visitors naturally ask.
Build a library rather than one disposable highlights film
A useful exhibition shoot can create clean stand footage, interviews, demonstrations, social clips, stills and organised material for future campaigns instead of relying on one short recap.
Plan around the exhibition timetable
Set-up access, quieter periods, keynote times, customer availability and the busiest moments can all affect the filming plan. A little preparation protects the useful parts of the day.
WHAT THE FILM CAN DO
Extend the value of the exhibition after the stand comes down
The exhibition may last one or two days. The useful content can keep working long after the venue has emptied.
Show the stand at its best
Capture branding, displays, product detail, staff interaction and the wider hall so people who were not there can understand the scale and presentation.
Put knowledgeable people on camera
Record staff, customers, partners and specialists while they are already together, creating useful interviews without arranging another production day.
Turn demonstrations into marketing
Film launches, demos and explanations from several angles so the material can become product clips, sales support and social content.
Create several useful edits
Plan a main film alongside shorter clips, vertical versions, interview cut-downs and clean footage your marketing team can return to later.
CHOOSE COVERAGE AROUND THE RESULT
From a focused stand visit to full-day exhibition coverage
You do not need to book a full event production if the brief is simply to capture one exhibitor well. Equally, a rushed appointment is rarely enough when several people, products and moments matter.
Focused exhibition stand coverage — around two hours
A practical option for one stand where the priority is a polished overview, several interviews, product demonstrations and enough supporting footage for a concise main film and shorter clips.
In our experience, around two hours gives the operator time to settle into the space, work around changing noise and footfall, and wait for useful activity rather than forcing every shot into a fixed 30-minute appointment.
Half-day coverage
In our experience, a half day works well when you want several contributors, more visitor activity, product demonstrations and a wider range of social material, but do not need the crew from doors open to close.
The schedule can be built around the busiest period, customer appointments or a product launch.
Full-day exhibition filming
We normally suggest a full day when the day itself matters: set-up, opening, demonstrations, customer conversations, presentations, several interviews and changes in visitor activity. The larger pool of footage also gives the edit more choice and lets us return to the stand at different levels of footfall.
Multi-day and multi-stand projects
For organisers, agencies or groups with several exhibitors, we can cover consecutive days or selected days across the show. A repeatable interview and stand-coverage format keeps the material consistent across multiple exhibitors, locations and contributors while still allowing each stand to feel different.
MAKE THE EXHIBITION INVESTMENT WORK HARDER
The stand, travel and staff are already there — capture the content while you have them
Exhibiting already means paying for the stand, transport, displays, staff time and the event itself. Filming can turn that temporary concentration of people and product knowledge into material the marketing and sales teams can use afterwards.
Interviews and customer testimonials
Record staff explanations, partner comments and customer experiences while the right contributors are present. See interview video production.
Presenter-led attendee and vendor interviews
If you want more spontaneous reactions, we can provide a presenter or on-camera host to ask attendees, exhibitors or vendors prepared questions around the stand or hall. This can be useful when your own team needs to stay focused on customers rather than conducting the interviews themselves.
Product demonstrations and launches
Capture the full explanation once, then create shorter feature clips and sales-support material from the same footage.
Photography alongside video
A dedicated photographer can work alongside the video crew when you need stand images, portraits, networking photographs and PR material. See event and business photography.
Raw footage for your own editor
If your agency or in-house team handles post-production, footage can be recorded and organised for their workflow. See raw footage capture.
REAL EXHIBITION EXAMPLE
Full-day exhibition filming at Bournemouth International Centre
This FIS exhibition project was filmed across the day at BIC Bournemouth rather than compressed into a short stand appointment. That gave time to capture the branded space, people, activity, contributors and the changing pace of the exhibition.
A full day is not necessary for every exhibitor, but it becomes useful when several interviews, busy periods, demonstrations and wider event context all matter to the finished film.
EXHIBITION FILMING AT MAJOR UK VENUES
We travel to the stand — wherever the exhibition is taking place
Venue access, loading, interview space, lighting, background noise and the exhibition timetable all shape the day. Open a venue below for the regional production link.
ExCeL London
Large exhibitions at ExCeL can involve long halls, multiple entrances and busy stands. We can plan focused exhibitor coverage, interviews, demonstrations and social footage around the stand timetable. Video production in London.
Olympia London
Olympia suits launches, trade shows and specialist exhibitions where the stand design and visitor experience are part of the story. Coverage can combine clean stand views with staff interviews and live interaction. Video production in London.
NEC Birmingham
The NEC hosts large national exhibitions where exhibitors may need anything from a focused two-hour stand visit to full-day content capture. Access, hall location and interview timing are agreed before arrival. Video production in Birmingham.
Manchester Central
For business and trade exhibitions at Manchester Central, filming can cover branded spaces, demonstrations, customer interviews and wider atmosphere while keeping kit compact around busy aisles. Video production in Manchester.
Bournemouth International Centre
BIC is already represented in our exhibition work. The FIS example on this page was filmed across a full exhibition day, giving the edit time, variety and genuine event activity. Video production in Bournemouth and Dorset.
Farnborough International
Farnborough is well suited to exhibitions, launches and technology-led events where products, displays and specialist contributors need to be filmed clearly. Coverage can be planned around stand access and scheduled demonstrations. Video production across Hampshire.
Harrogate Convention Centre
Harrogate exhibitions can be covered for individual exhibitors or wider business-event content, including stand footage, interviews and demonstration material. Video production in Leeds, Harrogate and Yorkshire.
EICC Edinburgh
For exhibitors and organisations working at the EICC, we can plan compact crews for interviews, branded coverage and post-event marketing content, with travel built around access and the show schedule. Video production in Scotland.
SEC Glasgow
Exhibition filming at the SEC can combine stand coverage, product detail, staff interviews and wider hall activity. Larger briefs can also include complete talks or event coverage where required. Video production in Scotland.
EXHIBITION VIDEO PRODUCTION PROCESS
Know what needs to happen before the doors open
A short planning call and a useful timetable make the filming much more productive once the hall gets busy.
01 — Define the useful outputs
Agree whether you need a main exhibition film, interviews, testimonials, demos, social edits, photography or organised raw footage.
02 — Share the venue and stand details
Send the hall, stand number, exhibitor access, opening times and any loading or accreditation information.
03 — Identify the people and moments
List the staff, customers, partners, demonstrations or launches that are worth prioritising so the operator is not waiting for chance.
04 — Film the clean material first
Secure the stand, branding and important product shots before visitor traffic makes those views difficult, then return for natural interaction and atmosphere.
05 — Record interviews in the best available space
Trade halls are noisy. We choose the quietest practical position, use professional microphones and keep answers concise enough to work in the final edits.
06 — Edit for the channels that matter
Build the agreed landscape, vertical, captioned and short-form versions, or organise the footage for your own marketing team.

EXHIBITION VIDEO PRODUCTION FAQ
Practical questions before the show opens
How long should exhibition stand filming take?
For a focused stand film, around two hours is a practical starting point. In our experience, that gives enough time for clean stand footage, several interviews, demonstrations and real visitor activity without rushing the useful moments. We can also cover a half day, a full day, consecutive exhibition days or selected days across a longer show, depending on how many contributors, demonstrations and changes in activity need to be captured.
Can you film only our stand rather than the whole exhibition?
Yes. The new exhibition service is aimed at exhibitors as well as event organisers. We can focus entirely on your stand, people, products and customer activity without filming the whole show.
Can you record interviews on a noisy exhibition floor?
Yes. Trade halls are challenging, so we use professional microphones and choose the best available position. Where possible, interviews are scheduled before the busiest period or in a quieter area close to the stand.
Can you film customer testimonials during the exhibition?
Yes. Exhibitions can be one of the few times customers, partners and your own team are all in the same place. We can prepare concise questions and record several short testimonials during the agreed filming window.
Can you film product demonstrations and launches?
Yes. We can record complete demonstrations as well as close details, reaction shots and shorter feature clips. Tell us when key demonstrations are scheduled so the camera plan can be built around them.
Can you provide photography as well as video?
Yes. A dedicated photographer can work alongside the video crew for stand images, staff portraits, networking, PR and social photography. For a smaller brief, a limited number of stills may be added where practical.
Can you supply fast social clips after the exhibition?
Yes. If quick delivery matters, priority clips can be scheduled first, followed by the main film and any longer interview or demonstration edits. The delivery order should be agreed before filming.
Do you film at major UK exhibition venues?
Yes. MJ Films travels throughout the UK. Coverage can be planned for venues including ExCeL London, Olympia London, NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, Bournemouth International Centre, Farnborough International, Harrogate Convention Centre, EICC Edinburgh and SEC Glasgow.
What if we need the conference or whole event filmed as well?
That can be combined. If you need complete talks, panels, audience questions, awards or wider organiser coverage rather than just one exhibitor stand, see our event video production service.
EXHIBITING SOON?
Tell us the venue, stand and content you want to leave with
Send the exhibition date, venue, hall and stand number, the people you want interviewed, any demonstrations or launches, and the final videos you need afterwards. We will suggest a realistic filming window and coverage plan.
