Echoes of the Oscars — multi-camera concert coverage
FilmChelt commissioned MJ Films to record Echoes of the Oscars at Princess Hall, Cheltenham Ladies’ College. Alongside the complete multi-camera performance, the organisers wanted rehearsal footage and interviews for a separate promotional film.
The concert was the non-negotiable part. Camera positions and the audio plan had to respect the musicians and the audience, while the rehearsal and interview material had to fit around the live programme. The two edits served different purposes without needing two separate productions.
