TRAINING & INFORMATION FILMS
Training Video Production
Clear, reusable training videos for staff, contractors, customers and new recruits - planned around the procedure, working environment and platform where people will learn.
TRAINING VIDEO PLANNING
BUILD FOR LEARNING
Design the training around what somebody must be able to do afterwards
Start with the task, not the running time
The useful starting point is what the learner needs to understand, recognise or perform correctly. We can then decide how many videos, chapters or demonstrations are needed instead of forcing the subject into an arbitrary running time.
Break complicated subjects into teachable stages
Long procedures are usually easier to learn when they are divided into clear stages. Chapters can follow the real sequence of the job, while captions, diagrams, screen recordings or voice-over can explain information that is difficult to show with pictures alone.
Plan carefully for work that cannot be repeated
For one-off operations, a wide camera can record the whole task continuously while another camera follows the important stages. Where safe, an action camera can add the operator's viewpoint, with close-ups of controls, hand positions, tools and checks captured afterwards where possible.
Keep the subject expert involved
The people who understand the procedure should be able to check sequence, terminology and safety-critical detail. A training manager or subject expert can work with us during filming, review remotely or sit with us on location while early sections are assembled.
Plan the delivery and future updates from the start
Knowing whether the films will sit on an intranet, LMS, website, Teams or a private training library affects structure and file delivery. Modular planning also makes it easier to replace one procedure, graphic or chapter later without rebuilding the whole course.
BOOKING A TRAINING VIDEO
Three straightforward steps from brief to finished training film
You do not need a finished script before getting in touch. Start with the subject, the people who understand it and what learners need to be able to do afterwards.
01
Send the brief
Tell us the subject, likely location, preferred dates and who the training is for. A rough outline is enough to start.
02
Plan and film
We structure the demonstrations, contributors and schedule, then capture the procedure and the close detail the edit will need.
03
Review and deliver
Your subject expert checks the content, revisions are agreed and the finished films are supplied with the captions, chapters or versions required.

Training content for detailed operational subjects
Professional cameras, lighting and clear sound keep demonstrations readable while supporting footage gives the editor the detail needed to explain each stage.
TWO PRACTICAL APPROACHES
Storyboarded production or collaborative on-site editing
Planned and scripted
We develop the structure, script and storyboard before filming presenters, demonstrations and supporting material.
Collaborative on site
For complicated tasks, we can bring the footage into a boardroom or office and work alongside the training manager or subject expert. Immediate input confirms terminology, speeds decisions and reduces lengthy remote revision rounds.
THE TRAINING VIDEO PROCESS
A clear route from subject knowledge to reusable content
TRAINING VIDEO FAQ
Questions to settle before production
Can you work under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)?
Yes. We're happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before filming if your project involves confidential processes, proprietary technology, unreleased products or commercially sensitive information. We'll also agree in advance which areas, equipment and activities can be filmed, ensuring your confidentiality is protected throughout the production.
Can our training manager shape the edit?
Yes. They can review remotely or work with us on site in a boardroom, meeting room or office. Immediate technical input is particularly useful for complicated tasks.
Can you include captions and chapters?
Yes. Captions, titles, chapters, diagrams, graphics, voice-over and screen recordings can all help learners follow complex information.
Can we sell our training videos?
Yes. A training film does not have to be purely an internal company resource. The training itself can become a product. Manufacturers, specialist contractors, consultants and training providers can sell individual videos, complete courses or access to a private training library.
If that is the intention, it is worth planning for it before filming. Videos can be divided into reusable modules and chapters, produced without unnecessary time-sensitive references and designed so individual lessons can be replaced later without rebuilding the whole course. Captions, graphics, tests or downloadable material can also support a paid learning package.
This can turn knowledge that is normally delivered repeatedly by one member of staff into something that can be taught — and potentially sold — again and again.
Can a training video be updated later?
Yes. Modular planning makes it easier to replace an individual chapter, procedure or graphic when information changes.
What if some staff don't want to appear on camera?
That's not a problem. We can film in ways that protect people's privacy by avoiding faces, using over-the-shoulder angles, close-ups of hands, equipment and processes, or filming from behind. This allows us to tell the story of your business while respecting individual preferences.
How can the finished films be delivered?
Files can be prepared for websites, intranets, learning platforms, Teams, presentations or private webpages, with versions suited to each use.
How much does a training video cost?
A straightforward project may need only half a day or a full day of filming, while a training series can run over several days. Editing frequently takes longer than the filming itself because the correct actions have to be shown in the correct order, often using several camera angles while keeping the procedure continuous and easy to follow.
See our video production pricing for current starting rates and packages. Once we know the number of procedures, filming time and finished videos required, we can give you a specific quote rather than an arbitrary price per minute.
