Construction filming is rarely just a question of where to put the camera. The useful shot may only exist for ten minutes, the right person may be on site for part of the day, or a working area may only be accessible after an induction or escort.
That is why the practical production plan should be agreed before the crew arrives. It protects the footage the edit genuinely needs and keeps the filming proportionate to the site.

Practical questions before filming begins
Can you film while construction work continues?
Usually, yes, where the site controls allow it. We agree safe positions, access routes and timing with the site manager so filming does not interfere unnecessarily with live work. If a task needs to pause for safety, safety takes priority over the shot.
What do you bring to a construction shoot?
A typical package can include professional cinema cameras, lenses, tripods or gimbal support, radio and shotgun microphones, audio recording, monitoring and battery-powered camera and compact LED equipment where practical. Using battery-powered gear helps reduce trailing mains cables and lets the crew move quickly between working areas. We also bring standard high-visibility clothing, safety footwear and hard hats, with specialist PPE requirements agreed in advance.
Can you film confidential or restricted work?
Yes. Sensitive screens, prototypes, processes, commercial information and restricted areas can be identified before filming. We can work to agreed shot restrictions, NDA requirements and client review arrangements where appropriate.
Can you make repeat progress visits?
Yes. Repeat visits can be scheduled around milestones, with consistent viewpoints and agreed shot priorities so each visit adds meaningful evidence rather than duplicating the last one.
